This is an interesting question. My earliest memory is a recurring dream I had from when I was about 4 years old. I was skateboarding up a path that spiral up a very steep, narrow mountain. I was being chased by a car. I was a weird kid.

Facebook Stalker

My mother is a full fledged facebook stalker. I’m not messing around either. If you have a facebook she knows everything about you. At first this really creeped me out, as it does just about everyone else on the planet. Then I thought about what she was doing, and though I will admit my mother is pretty creepy, her ability to extract personal information from a facebook page is not. The average public facebook page is simply overflowing with very personal information. In fact I’d go so far as to say the terfacebook stalker is quite the misnomer.

 A stalker needs to put in a bit more effort to find personal information. They must commit the act of actually “stalking.” When you really think about it, the creepy part about facebook stalking is that facebook users make all that personal information so easy to collect. What my mom does is fairly simple.

With that in mind, I’d be rude to neglect the polar opposite of the facebook stalker, the ignorant facebook user. The user who posts all types of personal information without any thought about it. This user loves to brag about their debauchery on facebook through incessant updates, documented by photos they have tagged themselves in. Everyone knows a few of “these people.” If mom, dad, or anyone they wouldn’t want looking at their page should stumble across their page, they are scolded. After all, their facebook page is their private property. These people are FUCKING IDIOTS. facebook.com is a SOCIAL NETWORK. Everything up on your facebook is something YOU posted for ALL THE INTERNET TO SEE. If you do not wish for your personal information to be made public, DON’T PUT IT ON YOUR FACEBOOK PAGE. It’s really not that hard. Is it?
